SPINELLO (LIQUOR)
The sea buckthorn liqueur (Hippophae Ramnoides) was born from the skilful research of Augusto Tocci who managed to infuse this liqueur with a refined and unique flavour. It can be eaten smooth, iced or hot, with the addition of an orange zest or used as an ingredient in mixing.
Sea buckthorn is used all over the world as a cure for various ailments. In Chinese medicine it is indicated and considered as a real medicine or a valid support. The fruits of this plant are rich in vitamins A, B1, B12, C, E and K. Thanks to it it is possible to produce oils, ointments but also cosmetics.
From the Tuscan tradition, a truly particular liqueur is born, rich in vitamin concentrates. The liqueur obtained with the infusion and maceration with sugars of the berries in ethyl alcohol, is fruity and has a citrus, fresh and sour taste.
The Spinello liqueur was born and created by "4 friends at the bar" who for pleasure combined passion, knowledge and the desire to have some fun. Liqueur that has been produced for about a decade and distributed until today mainly in their motherland which is Tuscany. After some time and given the good results achieved, they decided to expand the diffusion of this liqueur.
Its name can be misleading but this is precisely one of its strengths. Think if at the bar or restaurant they jokingly ask you "do you want a joint?" – "May I offer you a joint?". The base that distinguishes it and that makes it up is Sea Buckthorn: a spontaneous shrub with a small orange-colored berry, rich in vitamins C and E, with a characteristic and slightly acidic flavour.
A very versatile liqueur and as "friends" say ... it is drunk and not smoked.
