TENNIS
Tennis comes from the game of tennis, where 4 players compete (2 on one court and two on the other).
The aim of the game is to hit the ball with the tennis racket and score points in the opponent's court.
Tennis was born in England in 1874, when the Englishman Walter Clopton Wingfield decided to insert a new invention which consisted of a new and improved portable field to play the ancient "Jeu de Paume" (game of tennis).
In Italy, tennis made its entrance in 1878 thanks to Charles Henry Lowe who had the first playing field built in Bordighera.
In Riccione covered and open-air tennis courts: clay, asphalt, synthetic grass.
