SAVIOLINA
The "Saviolina" is one of the latest evidence of boats
Adriatic and historical.
It is one of the symbols of Riccione and has the meaning of
summarise the spirit of its citizens.
The works for the construction of the boat were started in 1926 and, in 1928, was put to work for the first time in
Gabicce.
Initially the boat was used for fishing for sardines and took the name of "Nino Bixio" but, later, in 1958, is
was purchased by Severo Savioli who renamed it "Saviolina" and transformed it into a pleasure boat.
In 1994, Severo Savioli decided to officially cede the "Saviolina" to the Club Nautico of Riccione and, in 1995, it was elected
symbol of the marine riccionese.
The boat over the years has been subject to multiple restorations and, in 2019, triumphed at the Barcolana of Trieste,
being awarded as "boat that best interprets the spirit of tradition"
