REBOLA
Rebola is the name of the Pignoletto vine, widespread for centuries in the Rimini area.
The first documents, dating back to 1378, call it "Ruibola or Greco", since it was a grape variety coming from the Hellenic area, having similarities with grapes still called Greco or Grechetto present in some regions of Italy.
Recently, however, research has verified the origin and identity of this grape with Pignoletto, on the Bolognese Hills and Grechetto typical of Umbria.
From this grape we obtain a delicious fruity and velvety wine, which does not require particular pairings. It is capable of both acquiring complexity and delighting the palate without tiring in the passito version.
The main characteristics of this wine are:
- the color varies from straw yellow in the dry type to amber in the passito type;
- the delicate, fruity aroma and a harmonious, pleasant flavour, with different nuances depending on whether it is dry, sweet or raisin.
It is said that this wine must be a thief as its freshness seems to have been stolen from the night dew and one of the first rays of sun that can be seen at dawn.
Therefore perfect for any occasion, it combines with the enjoyable view from the hills of our Riviera!
