PIF
Pierfrancesco Diliberto, known as Pif, is an Italian television host, director, screenwriter and writer.
Born in Palermo in 1972, his lineage from the Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen is renowned. After completing his scientific high school years, he decided to move to London to indulge his passion for cinema and follow a Media Practice course.
After winning a Mediaset competition in 1998, he has the opportunity to gain various experiences as an assistant director. In particular, in 1999 he worked for Franco Zeffirelli on the set of "Un tea con Mussolini" and the following year for Marco Tullio Giordana during the filming of "I cento passi".
In 2000 he joined the program "Le iene", first as an author and then also as a correspondent. However, it is only seven years later that he gets, thanks to MTV, a program entirely by him, "The Witness". This format is so successful that in 2011 "The VIP witness" was also born, in which Pif follows different personalities in their daily activities.
In 2013 Pif continued his climb to success by directing his first film, "The mafia kills only in summer". This will be followed by two more in the following years: "At war for love" and "And we, like assholes, stayed to watch".
In 2016 he returned to "Le Iene" as co-host together with Nadia Toffa, while the following year the first episodes of "Caro Marziano" were broadcast, a documentary-program with an unmistakable style that immediately garnered widespread appreciation by the public.
Instead, in 2018 he made his debut as a writer with the book "... that God forgives everyone", followed in 2022 by the publication of "The desperate search for love of a poor idiot".
Since 2018 Pif has been in a relationship with Nabila Ben Chahed. The couple had a daughter in 2020 and now they all live together in Rome.
