MATTEO ROMANO
Matteo Romano was born on March 20, 2002 in Cuneo, Piedmont.
He began his musical career in 2020, when he published a video on the social platform TikTok that went viral in Italy, what would later become his debut single "Concedimi".
The video has reached more than three million views. The single was released the following November 17, later certified double platinum.
In March 2021 he obtained a recording contract with the Universal Music Italia label and released his second single "House of mirrors".
In November of the same year he was confirmed as one of the twelve artists participating in Sanremo Giovani 2021, a music festival that selected three emerging artists for the 72nd Sanremo Festival.
Matteo placed third with the song "Testa e croce", and this therefore allowed him to take part in the festival with the song "Virale", written by himself together with Dardust, Alessandro La Cava and Federico Rossi, placing eleventh.
