GRACE KELLY - THE STAR THAT DIED TOO EARLY
Grace Kelly, born Grace Patricia Kelly on November 12, 1929 in Philadelphia, was a model, actress and Academy Award winner.
Raised in a wealthy family, her childhood was characterized by a strict education based on strong Catholic principles. In 1947, as soon as she was of age, she went to live in New York with the aim of approaching the world of entertainment.
So she first became a model, to then get her first part in the film "14th hour" in 1951. Although her role in the film was minor, she was noticed by Fred Zinnemann, who offered her the role of Amy Kane in "High Noon" (1952).
However, it is with "Mogambo" that she gained the fame that led her to become one of Alfred Hitchcock's blondes, for whom she worked in three films.
In 1955, during the filming of the last of these, "To Catch a Thief", which took place in the Principality of Monaco, Grace Kelly met Ranieri III, Prince of Monaco. Only the following year they got married and she became Princess of Monaco to all intents and purposes.
Precisely because of this radical change in her life, she decided to leave her career as an actress to devote her time to her family and to her new commitments as a sovereign.
In the following years three children were born: Carolina, Alberto and Stéphanie. However, these years of happiness were not to last long; in fact, when on September 13, 1982 Grace took the lead with her daughter Stéphanie, no one could have imagined how their lives were about to change forever. Arriving at a particularly tight bend, the princess lost control of the car, which fell into the adjacent cliff. Stéphanie miraculously managed to save herself.
Instead, Grace fell into a coma which, due to an extensive cerebral hemorrhage, led her to die the following day.
In this way disappeared one of the brightest stars in Hollywood, a classy woman with refined tastes, who knew how to wear the crown of Monaco like no other.
