FRANCESCO GABBANI
Francesco Gabbani, born in Carrara in 1982, is an Italian singer-songwriter.
Growing up, since his family owns an instrument store
music, is always surrounded by a lot of music;
in fact, from the age of four he begins to play the guitar, while at nine years
approach the guitar. Later, he also studied bass and piano.
Although he had some work experience as a sound engineer and stage technician, already in 2000 he secured his first contract
joining the group Trikobalto, with whom he released two albums.
However, in 2010 he decided to leave the band to sign a contract from
solo.
He initially released several singles, before making his first album, "Greitist
Iz", in 2014.
In 2016 he participates in Sanremo Giovani with the song "Amen", which places him first
in the category "New proposals".
Some time later he returns to the music scene with a second album
"Eternally now".
The real success comes with "Occidentali's karma" at the Sanremo Festival 2017,
when the winner is announced for the second year in a row.
His song, which also leads to the Eurovision song contest, remains at the top of the
Italian rankings for three weeks.
Then he also publishes "Magellan" in 2017, "Viceversa" in 2020, the year in which he returns to Sanremo,
coming in second, and "We just wanted to be happy" in 2022.
It is in 2022 that Gabbani begins to explore the world of entertainment beyond
of music;
in fact, accepts the position of conductor for the program "It takes flower", in
wave on Rai1.
He also made his acting debut in the film "The Woman for Me".
