
COMACCHIO
Comacchio is a lagoon city which is part of the province of Ferrara (Emilia-Romagna). It is called the "little Venice" because of the canals that form a web of alleys and shops. Its culinary delicacies are focaccia with pumpkin and parmesan and marinated eel.
Also famous is the "Trepponti" or "Ponte Pallotta", built in 1638 with a triple arch, it is the most representative monument of the city. In Comacchio there is a museum which contains a large archaeological heritage from the protohistoric and medieval eras (Museo del Delta Antico del Po). There is a section dedicated to the Etruscan city of Spina and another which houses the Roman ship of Comacchio.
